GEDCOM 5.5.1 is older than all genealogy APIs, all mobile genealogy apps and cross-platform genealogy syncing technology. GEDCOM 5.5.1 is older than MacFamilyTree (1998), MyHeritage and RootsMagic (2003), (2006), New Family Tree Maker (2007), MyBlood (2009), Chronoplex My Family Tree (2011) and Behold 1.0 (2012).
AHNENBLATT DE ANDROID
GEDCOM 5.5.1 predates XHTML (2000), Windows XP and Mac OS X (2001), Facebook (2004), twitter (2006), the Apple iPhone (2007), Dropbox, Evernote, Google Chrome and Android (2008), and the Apple iPad (2010). GEDCOM 5.5 is older than USB and PNG (1996), older than Google (1998), and the Microsoft IntelliMouse (1999). The current version of GEDCOM is 15 years old now! datedįifteen years is a long time in the software industry. GEDCOM 5.5 was released on 31 December 1995. GEDCOM 5.5.1 was released on 2 October 1999. That is 15 years ago today. FamilySearch merely told everyone it is a draft that should not be implemented, while they themselves hurried to have it implemented in their own desktop application… Actions speak louder than words, and FamilySearch’s actions leave no doubt GEDCOM 5.5.1 isn’t a draft, and never was a draft. Some people maintain that GEDCOM 5.5 is the current standard, and version 5.5.1 is just a draft, because FamilySearch says so, but that is a naïve view, and not just because all leading genealogy software vendors have been using GEDCOM 5.5.1 for years. The mainstream version is GEDCOM 5.5.1, with some vendors still using GEDCOM 5.5. There is an alternative along the same lines, so you get an idea, of whats what, but you need to be running a Mac System.GEDCOM is the de facto genealogy data exchange standard. All I had to do, was remove any reference to NG etc and the original developers and move the layout around.
AHNENBLATT DE INSTALL
He threw me a raw version, which was easy to manipulate and install alongside our current Software. They obtained the rights from National Geographic, when they pulled the plug on the whole Genealogy Program. One was actually working on a Book Program, along with others, that will be included in a Genealogy Software Program, being built now. On Github, I chat with some of the original Software designers of MyHeritage and told them, "what I was after" and could they recommend a program, that could be modified. The attached pic, shows what you get at login). (still in beta testing, but proving positive). (the guys on Github are tops at this) We were also able to install an existing Genealogy Program within the Software as a complete package, meaning it doesn't need to be hosted on a Host. The MIT licence gives us more power to rip the source code to shreads and re-assemble it, how we want. We purchased a Software Program under an MIT licence, rather than a GPL licence. (nothing new in that idea) However the 3D visual layout is what counts. I think I mentioned some time ago to you, we were working on a new Software program, that would allow you to view your tree in 3D. We re-developed an existing Book Software package.
AHNENBLATT DE MOD
Is that in the form of a 'Mod' or did you develop a new Book Software? If a Mod would you share? If Book Software is it available for use/download and or purchase
